~No open display of weapons, including but not limited to, firearms, knives, blades, etc.
~No Golf Carts within the Soldiers Reunion festival footprint, unless approved by the Soldiers Reunion Executive Board
~No biking, skateboarding, skating, rollerblading, or riding scooters (with the exception of medical/handicap scooters) within the Soldiers Reunion festival footprint
~No Fireworks
~No open containers of alcohol allowed within the Soldiers Reunion festival footprint for Car Cruisin’ & Reunion Day Events
~No Public Intoxication
~No Use of Illegal Drugs
~Drones and/or Unmanned AirCrafts are not allowed to be flown near or within the Soldiers Reunion festival footprint*****IF ANY OF THE ABOVE LISTED RULES & REGULATIONS ARE BROKEN, YOU WILL BE BANNED FROM PARTICIPATING IN ANY SOLDIERS REUNION SANCTIONED EVENTS!!*****

~Contestants must be current residents and attend school/live in Catawba, Alexander, Iredell, Lincoln, Caldwell, & Burke Counties. Committee will verify.
~Contestants 18 and older that are in college outside of Catawba, Alexander, Iredell, Lincoln, Caldwell, & Burke counties MUST reside in one of these counties when not in school. Committee will verify.
~Contestants must secure their own sponsor(s) to pay the entry fee.
~No one will be considered a contestant if fees are not paid by the deadline of 08/01/26.
~The Mother or Father (only 1) of our Baby Miss, Toddler Miss and Tiny Miss Contestants are permitted backstage and may accompany their daughter on stage during competition. No one will be permitted backstage with contestants during competition except for the Baby, Toddler and Tiny divisions. Disqualification may result if you are backstage with a contestant not in these divisions. Dressing Rooms are NOT considered backstage.
~Men are NOT allowed in the Dressing Rooms at any time!
~Title Winners will attend the Wednesday night introduction of queens, Reunion Day reception, and ride on the Reunion Queens Float on Thursday, 08.20.2026 You must ride on the float for the entire parade. Failure to do so may result in relinquishing your title.
~Poor sportsmanship by contestants, parents, or family will not be tolerated at any time and will result in disqualification.
~Contestants will compete in the age division according to their birthdate at the time of the application submission and there will be no exceptions!
~All decisions by our Judges are final.
~Modeling will be in a T-Formation

All vehicles must display an Official Soldiers Reunion Car Reunion window placard to participate in the display of the cars
The Soldiers Reunion Event is not responsible for any accidents, damages, or theft that occurs at the event
There will be no judging of cars that will take place, therefore there will be no awards given
Park only in designated areas or where told by an Official Soldiers Reunion Staff Member & Volunteers
No loud music will be played by any participant of the event
No Burnouts Allowed!

~Vehicles that are years 1972 and earlier will be the only vehicles permitted to participate in Car Cruisin’.
~All vehicles must display an Official Soldiers Reunion Car Cruisin’ window placard of the current year in order to participate in the display of the cars and cruisin’.
~The Soldiers Reunion Event is not responsible for any accidents, damages, or theft that occurs at the event.
~There will be no judging of cars that will take place, therefore there will be no awards given.

~Everyone is to be back at their car by 4:00pm, any vehicle left unattended at the start of cruisin’ will be towed at owner's expense

~Any Parade Entry (Trailers, Cars, Trucks, etc.) must be street-legal and able to pass a current safety inspection.
~Due to the best interest of the public’s safety, no entry in the parade should throw anything (candy, pens, merchandise, etc.) to the crowd/spectators. If you wish to pass out any of the previously mentioned items, you should walk them to the crowd/spectators and hand the items to them.
~In order to keep a steady pace and retain no gaps, you must maintain a distance of no greater than 50ft from the entry in front of you. If you exceed 50ft, you will be pulled to the side or out of the parade.
~Once you reach the end of the parade you are not to stop, you are to continue back to your starting point to avoid traffic jams and disruption to the flow of the parade.
~If you must stop to unload participants, please utilize the designated “DROP-OFF LANE” and be as quick as safely possible.
Please Note: All entries should try to incorporate a patriotic theme, such as Red, White & Blue decor, flags, etc. to honor our veterans.
~USE OF CONFEDERATE FLAGS IN THE PARADE: In order to recognize all veterans of conflicts from Catawba County, the executive board of Soldiers Reunion Inc. has adopted a policy that only accredited Civil War reenacting units may fly a single Confederate Flag during the parade. The flag must be constructed of materials and in the manner common to those in 1861-1865. This unit must belong to a nation-wide association and be able to provide proof of current, active liability insurance.
~3:00 pm South College Ave (from Bus.321 to D Street) will be ONE WAY traffic (flow of traffic will be going North)

~All vendors must furnish all materials needed to operate. (i.e. water/power hookups, leveling equipment for trailers, etc.).
~Trailer size, including the tongue, must be taken into consideration when purchasing spaces. Any added spaces on the day of the event may result in a $100 modification fee, in addition to the cost of the additional space.
~Power and Water Supply is limited, therefore is FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE!
~The sale of alcohol is STRICTLY PROHIBITED, unless approved by the Soldiers Reunion Executive Board!!
~Once you are in your assigned spot, you will not be allowed to leave, due to the streets being closed.
~You are responsible for leaving the area in the same manner that you found it and making sure there is no grease left on the streets and sidewalks. If you are found leaving grease behind, you are at risk of facing clean-up fees and/or fines up to $500 by the City of Newton and/or Soldiers Reunion, Inc. Please utilize the grease disposal in the parking lot located at 210 North Ashe Ave. Newton, NC 28658. Refer to photo to the right.
~Upon approval of your application, you will receive further instructions and information on when and where to set up.
~Due to limited space, space rental will not be guaranteed until the registration fee is received. IF YOU CANCEL REGISTRATION, PAYMENT WILL NOT BE REFUNDED FOR ANY REASON. You will be given a space rental credit for the next year’s Soldiers Reunion.
Important for Food Vendors:
All food vendors are required to meet all fire and health codes and standards. Soldiers Reunion, Inc. is not responsible for providing any necessary equipment, permits, inspections, or other requirements related to these regulations. Vendors are responsible for ensuring compliance prior to and during the event.
Insurance Verification:
For the safety of our guests and staff, all vendors at Soldiers Reunion must provide proof of insurance. While we host copies of these certificates here for transparency, Soldiers Reunion, Inc. is not responsible for monitoring policy renewals or coverage changes. Any claims or disputes arising from vendor services are the sole responsibility of the respective vendor and their insurance provider.
Rules and Regulations Compliance:
All vendors must follow the rules and regulations set by Soldiers Reunion, Inc. as agreed upon in the Vendor Application. Failure to follow these rules may result in immediate removal from the event and could lead to being banned from participating in any future Soldiers Reunion sanctioned events.

~As a volunteer, you are intentionally performing the tasks/duties you are assigned without receiving any sort of payment for your work, other than reasonable reimbursement of funds expended on your tasks/duties performed.
~Must be at least 16 years of age.
